1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing or using Kaja, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kaja. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
2. What Kaja provides
Kaja is an AI-powered educational service. It may provide personalized courses, public educational video recommendations, lessons, exercises, quizzes, mini-tests, final assessments, learning progress, AI-generated explanations, AI tutor functionality and other educational features. Kaja may modify or improve features over time.
3. Accounts
You may need an account to use Kaja. You are responsible for providing accurate information where required, maintaining control of your authentication method or device, notifying Kaja about suspected unauthorized access, and using the service lawfully. You may not impersonate others or create accounts for abusive or fraudulent purposes.
4. Age requirements
Kaja is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. By creating an account, accessing or using Kaja, you confirm that you are at least 18.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Kaja unlawfully; bypass authentication, subscription or usage restrictions; abuse free trials; create fraudulent accounts; interfere with infrastructure; scrape or automatically access Kaja without authorization; reverse engineer protected functionality where prohibited; seek API keys or backend credentials; introduce malicious code; infringe third-party rights; cause unreasonable infrastructure or AI costs; or defeat quotas and rate limits. Kaja may restrict access where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, fraud or security threats.
6. AI-generated content
Kaja uses artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, erroneous, out of date or may misunderstand context. Kaja is designed as an educational aid, not a guarantee of correctness. Use appropriate judgment and verify information where accuracy matters. Kaja does not guarantee that every course, answer, assessment, video recommendation or AI response is correct.
7. Educational purpose
Kaja assists with learning but does not guarantee grades, examination results, qualifications, employment outcomes or mastery of a subject. For professional, medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or similarly high-stakes topics, consult qualified sources or professionals as appropriate.
8. YouTube and third-party content
Kaja may recommend or link to publicly available YouTube videos and other third-party educational material. Kaja does not own third-party videos merely because they appear in a course; rights remain with the relevant owners. Content may be removed, restricted, private, changed or unavailable in a country without notice. Kaja does not guarantee permanent availability, and YouTube use may be subject to YouTube’s applicable terms.
9. Intellectual property
Kaja’s application, design, branding, software, original interfaces and proprietary service functionality are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party content remains owned or licensed by its respective owner. You retain the rights you hold in content you submit, while granting Kaja the limited rights necessary to process it for requested service features.
10. Kaja Pro
Kaja may offer paid subscription functionality known as Kaja Pro. The applicable price is the price displayed in Apple’s App Store purchase interface at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by storefront, currency, taxes and future price changes.
11. 3-day free trial
Kaja may offer eligible users a 3-day free trial of Kaja Pro. During the trial, Kaja currently limits free learning generation or access to one course-generation credit under the product’s trial rules. Apple’s purchase screen will show trial and subscription conditions before confirmation. Trial eligibility may be restricted, and previous trial users may not qualify again.
12. Automatic renewal
App Store subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled under Apple’s subscription rules. Payment is charged through your Apple account. Renewal, billing timing, taxes, currency and local pricing are governed by the App Store terms presented at purchase.
13. Cancelling a subscription
You can manage or cancel an iOS subscription in your Apple subscription settings. Deleting Kaja or deleting a Kaja account does not by itself necessarily cancel an App Store subscription.
14. Restore purchases
Where supported, you may use Kaja’s Restore Purchases functionality to restore eligible App Store subscription entitlements.
15. Refunds
Purchases processed through Apple’s App Store are subject to Apple’s applicable billing and refund procedures. Kaja does not promise that it can directly issue refunds for Apple purchases.
16. Usage limits
Subscription plans may contain reasonable limits on AI generation, lessons, courses, requests, video analysis and other computationally expensive functionality. Current plan limits should be shown in the app where appropriate. Kaja may use technical safeguards to enforce limits and prevent abuse.
17. Service availability
Kaja aims to provide a reliable service but does not guarantee continuous or error-free availability. Features may be unavailable due to maintenance, network failures, AI or authentication provider outages, App Store issues, third-party video availability, security incidents or circumstances outside Kaja’s reasonable control.
18. Changes to the service
Kaja may improve, modify, replace or discontinue features. Where required by applicable law, users will receive appropriate notice of material changes affecting paid services or their rights.
19. Account suspension and termination
Kaja may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary because of fraud, abuse, security threats, serious or repeated Terms violations, unlawful activity, or attempts to bypass payment or usage restrictions. Any action is subject to applicable consumer law.
20. Account deletion
You may delete your Kaja account through the app. Deletion is governed by the Privacy Policy and further explained on the Delete Account page. Deleting your Kaja account does not necessarily cancel an Apple subscription.
21. Third-party services
Kaja depends on Apple, Google, Gemini, Supabase, RevenueCat and YouTube. Their own terms and policies may apply as described in the Privacy Policy.
22. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kaja is provided without guarantees beyond those required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
23. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kaja and its operator will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service where that exclusion is legally permitted. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights under applicable consumer law or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
24. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for losses arising from your unlawful misuse of Kaja or infringement of third-party rights. This does not apply to ordinary, lawful consumer use of the service.
25. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by Swedish law, without removing mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
26. Changes to Terms
Kaja may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated where legally required. The Effective Date above identifies the current version.
